Let me ask you this.

Have you been wondering if you should redesign your website or leave it alone for now and focus on other things in your business?

I know this a common struggle to because in reality, our websites will never be perfect. There will be always something to add, and improve on.

And as the internet changes, so do websites.

After working with various online entrepreneurs on their website, I see that this is a common struggle that we have.

So today I want to talk to you about how to decide when you should re-design or just let it be.

Here’s the truth: Your Website Will never be “OFFICIALLY” Done.

But don’t get me wrong that doesn’t mean that you need to be changing your website every other week or every other month.

When I started creating my first website. I had no clue what my brand would look like, I had no sense of direction or expertise on design. So yes, I was changing the colors and fonts every other week. I was trying on new things and moving things around.

I spent a lot of my first two years in business, in trial and errors. I was being inconsistent with my brand and acting on new ideas to see what worked and what didn’t. I was spending so much time designing the website, but not actually marketing it to see the results from my work.

Eventually, I had to stop myself and just let the website be.

Because here’s the thing. You can’t just build a website and then expect that customers will magically come and buy your services. It doesn’t happen like that. I learned this the hard way.

So how do you decide if you should redesign your website or if you just need to let it be?

Here are some questions you should ask yourself before you go back to redesigning your website one more time.

  1. Is my website effectively attracting my ideal client? Yes, or No
  2. Is my brand aesthetic consistent with my message? Yes, or No
  3. Is my website outdated (Meaning is it 5+ years old, running slow or not on mobile)? Yes, No

If the answers to the first two questions were NO. And the third anwer is a Yes. Then I suggest it’s time for your website to get a makeover.

If the answers to the first two questions is a Yes, and the third is a No. Then let your website be. Focus, more on marketing and getting more customers in the door.

Whenever you are feeling stuck because you don’t know whether you need to spend more time improving your website, come back to this blog and ask yourself these questions. This exactly what I do to really know If I need to redesign my website or just let it be.
