Not knowing where your clients hang out at can have you confused towards where you should be focusing your marketing efforts, therefore having a business that’s not giving you results. 


Are you following the trend of hanging out on your facebook page, facebook groups, instagram, IG TV, Or on the new social media platform. 


Maybe you should be going to meetups, social conferences, or in person workshops to meet your people. 


There are so many ways that you can market your business, but If your marketing is not reaching your ideal client, it will be hard for you to make a sale. 


That’s why it’s crucial that you first know where you can find your ideal client before you focus on any marketing efforts. 

Today I’m here to talk to you about 4 steps you can take to find your ideal clients.


  1. Get clear on who your ideal client is. 


You probably heard this before but it’s the first step for a reason. How can you expect to find your ideal client if you’re still not clear on who she/he is. And I don’t mean just know the demographics. I mean what are their values? What are their principles? What type of books she reads. What are the qualities of your ideal client?


Get clear on this ideal client before you go on the lookout of where she hangs out. If you don’t know the answers to the above questions, then do some more digging. To be honest, our clients are usually our past versions of ourselves. 


No one knows more about your client than you. So look within. And if you have worked with clients before you know who you’ll like to work with and who you wouldn’t like to work with. 


  1. Do research and make a list of places where you think they may be hanging out in.


Think about it, there’s probably someone in your industry that already has built a community of people that may be your ideal client. Look at your competition, where do you think there audience is coming from?  Ask people who fit the above quality of your ideal client:  “where do they usually hang out.” Ask your past clients if they have friends that need to solve the problem that you solve in your business. 


  1. Be diligent to see if they are actually hanging out in these spaces that you listed above.


Do some digging into their followers and reach out to these people. Ask questions and see if these people whether in a group or people that you’re following are actually your ideal client. 


  1. Make it your priority to be in front of them.


Now that you know where your ideal clients are hanging out more. Make sure you’re doing your part to be front and center in their world. Now that you find them, you can’t just go unnoticed. You have to let them know who you are, and what you got to offer to them.
