I’m gonna be straightforward with you today.
Your thoughts have a great impact on how you use your energy. And more importantly on the decisions you make on an everyday basis.
But, something else is true. You can’t control your thoughts, yet what you can do is be self-aware of what goes on inside you, so you can be able to turn things around for yourself.
So yes, the secret to handleling big and risky decisions is self-awareness.
Why? Because when you bring awareness to what you think, you start to ask yourself some serious questions. For example, what does this really mean? It means that in order to be a wise person and make great decisions, whether in your life or in business you have to be able to ask yourself questions, that’ll trigger a better response from you.
Now, this leads me to this next question. What’s the difference between a good question and a great question?
- A good question will give you a good answer.
- A great question will give you an amazing different perspective on all the choices that you have.
Now, let’s say you have to make a decision in your life that’s big and risky. Instead of saying, I can’t do that.. or let your mind wander around and find all the reasons why you shouldn’t take that big risk. Just say this…
“Yes, I don’t know if it’s going to work out, I’m scared, I’m terrified, but I’m gonna give it my all.”
Yet, if you’re still coming up with all the reasons why you shouldn’t do it, here is when it’s critical for you to put the power of a question into action.
“What’s the worst thing that can happen if I go for it?”
And if the answer to that question calms you down, right then and there, you will gain control of your life. Remember, you can’t control your thoughts but you can control the decisions you make, by changing your perspectives with one simple question.
“The quality of your questions will determine the quality of your life” — Tony Robbins
So today, I want you to care enough for yourself, and be willing to ask yourself some of these questions.
- What can I learn from this?
- What does this really mean?
- How do I want to feel?
- How can I make this better?
- What’s the worst thing that can happen?
Now, you maybe asking yourself. Is asking yourself a question really enough?
Well, no my friend. That is only the first step.
Let me tell you something that tends to happens when you answer a question like this. You may start to feel uncertain of the answer you just gave to your question.
And that’s when you must trust that you have the right answer.
It all starts to change when you trust yourself.
Trusting yourself gives you that boost of confidence to walk in a room and radiate your energy without feeling ashamed or foolish.
Yet, the only way to generate that trust for yourself. Is through compassion, care, and ultimately through the love you have for yourself.
Loving yourself gives you the power to keep on going even when things aren’t going as planned.
Now tell me this, what did you learn from this post today? I wanna hear from you, come on over to the comments area and let me know what you think about this.
